Booking & payment
How can I pay?
Online by credit or debit card when you book (via Stripe), or by card at pick-up. Paying online is cheaper than paying at pick-up.
Do I get an invoice?
Yes, you receive your invoice at the office. If you need it in a company name, please let us know at pick-up.
Can I cancel for free?
Yes, free of charge up to 48 hours before pick-up. After that, free cancellation is no longer possible and payments are not refunded.
Is my booking confirmed if I pay at pick-up?
Without payment your reservation is not 100 % confirmed and may be cancelled if the car is no longer available. For a guaranteed booking, please pay online.
Driver & licence
How old do I have to be?
Minimum age 21 with a licence held for at least 1 year. BMW 3 Series from 23 and BMW 5 Series from 25 years, each with 3 years of driving licence. Younger drivers from 18 (VW, Renault) or from 21 (BMW 3 and 5 Series) can rent with the "Young driver" package for 25 € per day.
What do I need at pick-up?
A valid driving licence, passport or ID card, and a credit card in the main driver's name.
Can someone else drive?
Yes, book an additional driver for 6 € per day. Only registered drivers may drive; otherwise a service fee of 100 € plus 15 € per day is charged.
Deposit
How much is the deposit?
VW and Renault 350 € · BMW 1 Series 500 € · BMW 2 and 3 Series 750 € · BMW 5 Series 1,000 €.
When do I get the deposit back?
Within 21 business days after return, to the card you paid with. Traffic fines from the rental period are deducted from the deposit.
Mileage & fuel
How many kilometres are included?
1–6 days: 300 km per day · 7–10 days: 200 km per day · 11–20 days: 150 km per day · 21–30 days: 120 km per day. Each extra kilometre costs 0.85 € plus VAT.
What is the fuel policy?
Same-to-same: return the car with the same fuel level. For 30 € we offer full-to-full – we hand over the car with a full tank and you return it full.
Can I smoke in the car?
No, all cars are non-smoking. A special cleaning fee of 350 € applies if smoking is detected.
Protection
Which protection packages are there?
Basic Protection 24 € per day (excess up to 5,000 €), Comfort Protection 29 € per day (excess up to 3,000 €), Comprehensive Protection 49 € per day (excess 2,000 €). Prices for Economy-class cars.
What happens without a protection package?
You are liable for all damage to the car in full – including scratches, glass damage and theft. In case of damage the car is assessed by an independent expert; you pay the amount in the report plus a 150 € expert fee. We strongly recommend a protection package.
Driving abroad
Can I drive to other countries?
Yes, with the cross-border package for 15 € per day, to permitted countries. Please tell us your destination at pick-up. Without the package a fee of 500 € applies and insurance cover lapses. See the list of countries.
Pick-up & return
What are your opening hours?
Kurfürstendamm: daily 09:00–18:00. BER Airport: daily 09:00–21:00. Outside opening hours on request for 100 €.
How does the BER shuttle work?
After landing, call our airport office at +49 177 7790924. Our shuttle picks you up and takes you to the office in 5 minutes. More about BER.
Can I return the car at the other location?
Yes, between BER Airport and Kurfürstendamm (either direction) for 50 €.
Do I get money back if I return the car early?
No, unused rental days are not refunded for early returns.
Do you deliver to hotels?
Yes, to hotels and addresses up to 7 km from our Kurfürstendamm office – free of charge. Choose "Delivery to your hotel" when booking.
Long-term rental
Can I rent for several months?
Yes, from 1 to 24 months with a fixed monthly price. Calculate your monthly price.
